<\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\nWe had booked 5 nights of camping on Anglesey. We\u2019ve been before and it\u2019s on this blog, so apologies if you have the old one and feel it’s a bit repetitive… it’s a bit like that advert “I’ve been here before” \ud83d\ude42 <\/p>\n\n\n\n
First 3 nights we spent at Dafarn Rhos campsite by Ligwy Beach Dafarn Rhos Caravan & Camping Site – Home (lligwybeachcampsite.co.uk)<\/a> \u2013 amazing site, very very close to the beach and of course dog friendly -although their definition of dog friendly is a bit odd \u2013 you\u2019re not allowed to walk the dog on the actual campsite, just go to the beach the shortest way possible. That\u2019s not dog friendly to me, but hey, let\u2019s not go there. The gate to the beach was really close to our pitch and Harley loves the beach more than tents\u00a0 One other thing we love about this campsite is the walk from here into the village of Moelfre \u2013 out the campsite by the beach, turn right and take the coastal path till you reach the village. It\u2019s a good hour walk and at times a bit overgrown (wear long sleeves and long trousers, there are a lot of nettles around!) but the views are amazing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n You get a very useful and accurate weather forecast about half way into Moelfre too! <\/p>\n\n\n\n You walk past the famous Moelfre Lifeboat Station<\/p>\n\n\n\n And you will be so ready for a beer when you get to Moelfre and visit the pub\u00a0 The Kinmel Arms a great Robinsons pub in Moelfre (robinsonsbrewery.com)<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n It was Sunday afternoon and we got there just in time to get a table, it was getting full. The meal we had was really delicious. I had the burger (really not like me to have a burger in a pub but am glad I did) and it was probably the best burger I ever had! Hubby had a ham sandwich with chips and he said that was definitely the best ham sandwich he ever had! The next day we found the ham, freshly sliced ham, being sold in the local shop and we bought a few slices as it was indeed amazing \u2013 as one of the pub staff said, it\u2019s none of this \u201cpre-packaged malarkey\u201d\u00a0 H was tired that night and slept well, snug like a bug in a rug… or his own sleeping bag! Yes, he does have his own sleeping bag, am sure I’ve mentioned this before. <\/p>\n\n\n\n The next day, on Monday, we walked back into Moelfre (the sunny pictures!) as we wanted Fish and Chips from the famous chippy but were not so lucky as it was closed on Mondays! Ah well, never mind\u2026 we had another drink instead!\u00a0Harley was trying to decide whether he goes for beer or wine\u00a0 The next day, on Tuesday, we walked the coastal path in the other direction and got to a lovely cove\u2026 it was quite hot this day so we didn\u2019t walked for that long as H was getting hot and bothered.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Another nice attraction close by is the Ancient Village of Lligwy – very close walk from the campsite, from the road follow the signs for it as it’s well signposted. <\/p>\n\n\n\n On Wednesday we moved on to the next site \u2013 Pen Y Bont in Valley \u2013 again a campsite on the coastal path, lovely and friendly owners and absolutely immaculate site. We stayed here for 2 nights.<\/p>\n\n\n\n We walked into Valley \u2013 you can either walk on the road or on the coastal path \u2013 the second one is a bit of a longer one and you kind of end up on the road anyway. We had a drink at the Valley Hotel, which was nice. Their food menu looked really good as well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n On Wednesday night we watched the football, of course On Thursday we walked to the Anchorage Hotel for a cup of tea and coffee\u2026 and then, as it was kind of approaching lunch time, we decided to walk to the White Eagle in\u00a0Roshcylin\u2026 2 miles walk, but it\u2019s on the road with no pavement\u2026 anyway, we did it and we\u2019re glad we did, the pub is lovely, has some amazing views and it\u2019s dog friendly. \u00a0Proper dog friendly\u00a0 We had a really nice lunch there and then the 2 miles walk back\u2026 this was a bit strenuous for me and H as it was getting a bit hot too, but we had plenty of breaks, plenty of water and we made it back in one piece. We had the best snooze that afternoon!<\/p>\n\n\n\n On Friday we returned home.
